Role Description:
Apprentice Electrician – we will only be looking at experienced apprentices at this time.
Description: Reporting to their Lead hand or Journeyperson, apprentice electricians are responsible for working in a team to complete the installation of building automation systems including low-voltage wiring and device installation. Apprentices are responsible for properly securing all tools and equipment at the end of each work period to prevent damage or loss.
Work Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts, 40 to 44 hours per week (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) (Can vary from site to site)
• Overtime, out-of-town, and weekend work may be required
Responsibilities:
- Performing all work in a safe manner – abiding by Serv-All’s Health and Safety policies as well as all government legislation and regulations
- Cut, bend and install conduit
- Pulling wire through conduit, ceiling spaces and walls
- Installing and wiring of electrical devices, such as controllers, relays, actuators, etc.
- Complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Adhere to all Serv-All Mechanical’s policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be an indentured 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year electrical apprentice
- Have a Class 5 drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Basic hand tools and drill (tool list will be provided)
- Ability to get a security clearance
- Available to work out of town, shift work, nights, and weekends
- Conduit bending experience needed
- Controls experience considered an asset
- Driver’s License (required)
