Role Description:
We’re hiring a full-time, in-office Building Automation System (BAS) Estimator based in Edmonton, AB. This is an opportunity for someone who’s not just looking for a job, but a place to grow and thrive with a strong team environment.

Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 40 – 44 hours per week
- 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Flexible)
- Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for building automation and control system projects
- Review project drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Perform take-offs for controls, low-voltage systems, and related electrical components
- Coordinate with estimating manager, branch & project managers, technicians, suppliers, and subcontractors to develop project pricing
- Source and price materials, equipment, and labor requirements
- Assist with budgeting, project planning, and value engineering opportunities
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and customers
- Ensure estimates align with project scope, customer requirements, and company standards
- Support handoff meetings between estimating and project execution teams
Qualifications:
- Experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, electrical estimating, or related industries
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and low-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Journeyperson Electrician certification or technical background in controls/HVAC is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Assets:
- Experience with BAS platforms and control systems
- BAS Estimating experience
- Knowledge of Alberta Construction Tendering Processes
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes
